FAQs

How fast can I expect a response from the GCVMS in an emergency?

We will respond as quickly as we can. Response times will vary with traffic conditions and whether we are attending to other patients; we will give an estimate of the response time on receiving your call. We will especially advised if your medical conditions warrant an immediate Ambulance attendance for transport to the hospital.

Do the consultation charges include the cost of medications and procedures?

A prescription will be issued to you so that you can obtain these medications at a pharmacy. In most instances, you will be given enough appropriate medications for immediate treatment, until someone is able to fill in the prescription for you. Depending on the procedures, additional charges may be included. For example, the cost of suturing wounds is additional to the consultation.

What if I need medications that are not carried during the home-visit?

We can arrange for delivery of these medications to your home or we can write you a prescription so that you can obtain these medications from a pharmacy.

Does the GCVMS have a clinic premises?

We see patients in their own homes and therefore do not have a clinic premises.
